美国威尔斯利学院研究色彩和视觉的神经系统科学家Bevil Conway解释说：
Whats happening here is your visual system is looking at this thing, and youre trying to discount the chromatic bias of the daylight axis.
这里的情况是，你的视觉系统看着这条裙子，然后开始努力排除掉日光色偏。
So people either discount the blue side, in which case they end up seeing white and gold, or discount the gold side, in which case they end up with blue and black.
有的人排除掉了蓝色色偏，这样就看到了白金色，有的人排除掉了金色色偏，这样就看到了蓝黑。
而且，背景的变化，也会影响视觉感知：
Most people will see the blue on the white background as blue. But on the black background some might see it as white.
在白色背景下，大多数人能看到蓝色，而在黑色背景下，一些人看到的则是白色。
