纳奥米·坎贝尔 (Naomi Campbell) 从小就在英国最著名的艺术学校 Italia Conti 学习古典舞，15岁时，纳奥米·坎贝尔 (Naomi Campbell) 在学校附近的Covent Garden公园，被Elite公司的一位模特经纪人发掘。于是，1988年8月，纳奥米·坎贝尔 (Naomi Campbell) 成为第一个上法国版《Vogue》杂志封面的黑人，也是第一个上英国版《Vogue》 和美国《时代》(Time) 杂志封面的黑人。
2008年9月，纳奥米·坎贝尔 (Naomi Campbell) 发起“Fashion For Relief”慈善时装秀，引来英超球星阿什利·科尔的妻子谢丽尔·科尔 (Cheryl Cole)、凯瑟琳·詹金斯 (Katherine Jenkins)、卡拉·布莱克 (Cilla Black)、金伯莉·斯图尔特 (Kimberly Stewart) 等众星的支持。
